85 days. Named after the lovely Mesilla Valley, “Little Tableland” region of New Mexico, this cayenne pepper is perfect on your table too. Bright green pendant pods ripen to red with familiar flavor and heat. Pepper walls aren’t too meaty, perfect for dried purposes, even suited for crafts. This slightly curved, wrinkly, 10-in. cayenne is also fit for roasting or frying, fresh eating, and preparing pepper sauces or pastes. Tall, 3 to 4-ft. plants with moderate resistance to Tomato Mosaic Virus and Potato Virus Y produce an abundance of peppers.
