Growing Carolina Reaper Super-Hot Pepper

‘Carolina Reaper’ is a super-hot pepper prized for its extreme heat, unmistakable appearance, and surprisingly complex flavor. Bright red, heavily textured fruits develop a distinctive scythe-like tail, while fruity citrus notes and subtle chocolate-cherry undertones accompany the intense heat.

Start ‘Carolina Reaper’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 14 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety performs best during a long, warm growing season.

Ready to harvest in about 95 days, pick fruits once they reach their mature size and full red color. Handle these extremely hot peppers with appropriate care.

can't get them to start

Almost 20 days without germination, they are sitting on a heat mat in a south facing window with full sun from 10 AM to almost dusk All my other seeds have already turned into plants including my red and green peppers soil has been kept wet and warm Not sure what's wrong Never had a seed not start before

Total Germination!

I've never had success with peppers, and so this time I started them inside in January (Michigan, zone 5). Every single seed geminated, and the plants are full and lush! I'm not sure who's going to actually eat these, but they have been fun to grow!
