Growing Zesty Purple Hybrid Zinnia
‘Zesty Purple’ is a hybrid zinnia prized for its rich purple coloring, fully double blooms, and vigorous garden performance. Robust plants produce deep purple flowers on strong stems, creating a bold display while remaining easy to grow and dependable throughout the summer.
Plant ‘Zesty Purple’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 9 to 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 3 to 7 days. This variety is noted for good disease resistance.
Ready to bloom in about 70 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Strong stems make the large double blooms excellent for cutting and fresh arrangements.
Richly colored, vigorous, and dependable, ‘Zesty Purple’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, cut flower gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings.
