Growing Sweet Sunset Hybrid Pepper

‘Sweet Sunset’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 2015 All-America Selections Winner prized for its colorful sweet banana peppers and compact growth. Fruits begin light yellow, transition through orange, and mature to bright red on upright plants that produce generously without requiring support.

Start ‘Sweet Sunset’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 18 to 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Compact plants are especially well suited to containers and smaller gardens.

Ready to harvest in about 85 days, pick fruits at any stage of their colorful progression.

Huge bananas

I have grown banana peppers for years now, and I think these are probably the biggest and most productive peppers plants that I have ever had, it's not uncommon to have them 8" to 10" inches long and the plants are loaded.
