Growing Sundial Mix Hybrid Portulaca

‘Sundial Mix’ is a hybrid portulaca blend prized for its vivid colors, early flowering, and unusual ability to keep its blooms open throughout much of the day. Large flowers appear in a brilliant mixture of 12 shades, bringing nonstop summer color to low-growing plants.

Surface sow ‘Sundial Mix’ seeds and space plants 6 to 8 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 7 to 14 days. This heat- and drought-tolerant variety performs especially well in hot, sunny, dry conditions.

Ready to bloom in about 60 days, roughly two weeks earlier than many other portulacas, ‘Sundial Mix’ produces large flowers that remain open even through bright summer days.

Bright, resilient, and long blooming, ‘Sundial Mix’ is an excellent choice for hanging baskets, containers, borders, rock gardens, and ornamental plantings.

So far so good

I think most all the seeds sprouted. They are about 3” tall, ready to transplant to larger pots as it’s still too early to put outdoors.
