‘Summer Surprise’ is a hybrid zucchini blend prized for its broad range of colors, shapes, and compact growth habits. The mix includes at least five types, from golden yellow, black, and light green traditional zucchini to Caserta- and Lebanese-style selections.
Start ‘Summer Surprise’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about 1 inch deep, space plants about 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. The compact plants are especially well suited to smaller gardens.
