Red Head Heirloom Radish
Growing Red Head Heirloom Radish
‘Red Head’ is a Dutch heirloom radish prized for its striking bicolor roots and crisp, succulent texture. Uniform globes feature icy white bottoms topped by vivid fuchsia-red shoulders, creating an especially attractive harvest.
Sow ‘Red Head’ directly in the garden about ½ inch deep and space plants 12 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This cold-tolerant variety is also well suited to containers.
Ready to harvest in about 29 days, pull roots while they are mild, crisp, and tender for the best eating quality.
Colorful, juicy, and refreshing, ‘Red Head’ is excellent for fresh eating, salads, relish trays, and pickling.
