Growing Information

Growing Permanent Pasture Mixture

‘Permanent Pasture Mixture’ is an open-pollinated forage blend formulated to provide dependable grazing and hay production for cattle, sheep, chickens, and horses. The mix combines Orchard Grass, Tall Fescue, Timothy, Medium Red Clover, Ladino Clover, Kentucky Bluegrass, and Perennial Ryegrass in balanced proportions.

Plant seed about ¼ to ½ inch deep at a rate of approximately 4 ounces per 500 square feet. Germination typically takes 7 to 21 days. This blend performs in light to heavy loam soils with poor to moderate fertility.

Allow the pasture to establish thoroughly before heavy grazing or cutting. Once mature, the mixture can be grazed directly or harvested for hay depending on your needs.

Durable, adaptable, and productive, ‘Permanent Pasture Mixture’ is especially well suited to pasture establishment, grazing, hay production, and general livestock forage.
