‘Mr. Stripey,’ also known as ‘Tigerella,’ is an heirloom tomato prized for its colorful appearance and mild, sweet flavor. Large, firm, meaty fruits develop beautiful red-and-yellow striping and a naturally high sugar content.
Start ‘Mr. Stripey’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety performs especially well through warm summer weather.
Ready to harvest in about 80 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and develop their characteristic striped coloring.
Mild, sweet, and meaty, ‘Mr. Stripey’ is excellent for fresh eating and slicing.
