Growing Information

Growing Hamik Hybrid Pepper

‘Hamik’ is a sweet snack pepper prized for its thick flesh, nearly seedless fruits, and exceptional sweetness. Large, cone-shaped peppers develop two to three lobes and mature from dark green to vivid bright orange, with their best flavor developing at full maturity.

Start ‘Hamik’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 18 to 24 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Compact, tidy plants are well suited to smaller gardens and are noted for good disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 70 days, allow fruits to reach their brilliant orange color for the sweetest flavor.

Sweet, crisp, and snackable, ‘Hamik’ is excellent for fresh eating, snacking, salads, and everyday cooking.

Wonderful Peppers!

My three Hamik pepper plants produced until frost finally got them. They were so good, I ate them right out in the garden. The seeds are all by the stem end, so you can start at the bottom and munch away almost to the top! All turned perfectly from green to yellow. I live in Alabama and it's a battle to keep plants going in our late summer heat, but these peppers did great.
