Giant Aconcagua Pepper
Growing Giant Aconcagua Pepper
‘Giant Aconcagua’ is an open-pollinated sweet pepper prized for its exceptional length, sugary flavor, and crisp texture. Among the longest sweet peppers available, the fruits mature from green to red and develop their sweetest flavor when allowed to ripen fully.
Start ‘Giant Aconcagua’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 14 to 18 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety performs especially well during warm summer weather.
Ready to harvest in about 70 days, pick peppers green or allow them to become fully red for maximum sweetness.
Sweet, crisp, and substantial, ‘Giant Aconcagua’ is excellent for stuffing, grilling, fresh eating, slicing, and everyday cooking.
