Ghost Pepper Plants

‘Ghost Pepper,’ also known as ‘Bhut Jolokia,’ is a famous super-hot pepper variety originating in India and prized for its intense heat, fruity flavor, and distinctive appearance. Wrinkled pods reach about 2 to 3 inches long and mature to a vivid red, delivering a combination of sweetness, fruitiness, and powerful heat.

Plant ‘Ghost Pepper’ seedlings in full sun after all danger of frost has passed and temperatures have warmed. Set plants in rich, well-drained soil with enough space for good air circulation and healthy growth. Water consistently while plants establish, avoid overly wet soil, and provide regular feeding throughout the season to support flowering and fruit production.

The 2- to 6-inch seedlings arrive ready for transplanting and will continue developing through the warm season. Harvest peppers once they have reached full size and developed their mature red color. Wear gloves when harvesting, cutting, or processing the fruit, and avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Fruity, slightly sweet, and intensely hot, ‘Ghost Pepper’ is especially well suited for hot sauces, chili powders, spice blends, and other dishes where a small amount of pepper can add significant heat and flavor.

Inventory Note: Plants are grown in waves, so additional inventory may become available throughout the season if a variety is temporarily sold out.
