I spread a bunch of the seeds on top of dirt in a 10 gallon pot. I put another 1/4" of dirt on top of them, watered them in, and they went crazy. I had previously put bone meal and blood meal in the dirt. I planted them in March, and am in still harvesting in July. I live in a very hot environment (south Texas,) and they actually survived our weeks of 100+ degree weather. So, these are great if you want onions where it is too hot to grow regular, large onions.
