Growing Information

Growing Easy Wave® Plum Pudding Mix Hybrid Petunia

‘Easy Wave® Plum Pudding Mix’ is a hybrid petunia blend prized for its large blooms, mounded growth, and vigorous spreading habit. Bushier and taller than many spreading petunias, this colorful member of the Easy Wave Series creates a full, substantial display in both garden and container plantings.

Plant ‘Easy Wave® Plum Pudding Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 12 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 7 to 14 days. This heat-tolerant variety performs especially well through warm growing conditions.

Ready to bloom in about 84 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. The mounded, spreading plants fill out beautifully and provide an abundance of colorful blooms.

Full, colorful, and vigorous, ‘Easy Wave® Plum Pudding Mix’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, hanging baskets, and landscape plantings.

Very abundant.

Spread nicely with very little dead heading. Will definitely buy again.

Hardy plants!

My Plum Pudding petunias have outlasted the others I grew. Planted out in early spring, and as of today, they are still going strong (September). Colors changed a bit during the hottest weather. The ones in a planter needed pruning once, but kept right on producing flowers. The ones directly in ground have never been trimmed. Rarely needed any deadheading. They have been beautiful ALL summer long.
