Chablis Hybrid Sweet Pepper
Growing Chablis Hybrid Sweet Pepper
‘Chablis’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 2000 All-America Selections Winner prized for its changing color, super-sweet flavor, and productive plants. Blocky fruits never turn green, instead progressing from ivory to pinkish red, reddish orange, and finally deep scarlet.
Start ‘Chablis’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 24 to 36 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This early variety is also noted for good disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 62 days, pick peppers at any stage of their colorful progression or allow them to mature fully scarlet.
Sweet, colorful, and productive, ‘Chablis’ is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, stuffing, and everyday cooking.
