Growing Information

Growing Cajun Belle Hybrid Bell Pepper

‘Cajun Belle’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 2010 All-America Selections Winner prized for its unique combination of sweetness and mild spice. Miniature, mostly three-lobed bells mature from green through scarlet to deep red, bringing both flavor and color to the harvest.

Start ‘Cajun Belle’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 12 to 24 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Its compact habit makes this variety especially well suited to containers and smaller gardens.

Ready to harvest in about 60 days, pick peppers at the color stage you prefer, from green through fully mature red.

Sweet, mildly spicy, and versatile, ‘Cajun Belle’ is excellent for salsa, salads, stir-fries, Cajun dishes, fresh eating, and everyday cooking.
