Biscayne Hybrid Pepper
Growing Biscayne Hybrid Pepper
‘Biscayne’ is a hybrid Cubanelle-type pepper prized for its sweet flavor, thick walls, and prolific production. Yellow-green fruits feature blunt ends and improved flesh thickness compared with many older Cubanelle strains.
Start ‘Biscayne’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 18 to 24 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety produces vigorously throughout warm weather.
Ready to harvest in about 64 days, pick fruits once they reach their mature size and characteristic yellow-green color.
Sweet, tender, and productive, ‘Biscayne’ is excellent for frying in olive oil, fresh eating, sautéing, and everyday cooking.
