Autumn Frost is a Winner

Autumn Frost has become our favorite winter squash. Its size is perfect for a meal and is sweet and delicious. I love how productive it is in the garden too.

My new favorite winter squash

Delicious, productive plants, free of mildew that don't sprawl everywhere. I've tried many winter squash over the years. This is the best I've tried.

Delicious!

My new favorite squash! It is so sweet. No need for honey or brown sugar on this squash. It bakes up to a nice, rich deep orange squash. It is very dense and perfect for pies or any dessert. I have been making pumpkin cake with this squash, even cutting back on the sugar. Just so good. It tastes better than butternut. Maybe even better than honeynut. Five stars!

Yum!

Prolific like the description says. Need to make sure your flowers are pollinated (either by hand or local pollinators). Had to harvest a little early because little bugs were eating it before I could, but it was a lovely nutty flavor.
