Diva Burpless Cucumber
Growing Diva Burpless Cucumber
‘Sweet Success’ is an award-winning hybrid cucumber and 2002 All-America Selections Winner prized for its heavy yields, sweet flavor, and smooth, thin skin. Bright green fruits are burpless, virtually seedless, and spineless, with a crisp, tender texture that makes them especially enjoyable fresh. Vigorous vines produce fruit at nearly every node and offer exceptional disease resistance for dependable garden performance.
Start ‘Sweet Success’ indoors or sow directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 12 inches apart and grow in full sun. Vines typically reach 5 to 6 feet long and can be trellised to save space and make harvesting easier. This parthenocarpic variety can set fruit without pollination.
Ready to harvest in about 57 days, begin picking the fruits at 4 to 6 inches long for the most tender texture, though they can grow to 6 to 8 inches. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best quality.
Sweet, crisp, and refreshing, ‘Sweet Success’ is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, and snacking.
