The Catawba Grape is a classic pinkish-red American variety treasured for its sweet, aromatic flavor and versatility. Popular for more than 150 years, Catawba is used for juice, jelly, and wine — producing rich, flavorful fruit with a distinctive tang.

This hardy, vigorous vine performs best in USDA Zones 5–8 and is well-suited to northern and midwestern climates. Catawba ripens later than Concord or Niagara and rewards patient growers with heavy clusters of translucent pink fruit that glow in the sunlight

Planting & Care:

• Full sun (6+ hours daily) for best yields
• Space 6–8 ft apart with 8–10 ft between rows

• Water regularly during establishment; reduce after vines mature
• Fertilize lightly in early spring with a balanced fertilizer
• Prune annually in late winter to encourage strong new canes and fruiting wood
• Remove any fruit the first year to allow roots to establish
• Pollination: Self-pollinating; only one variety needed for fruit
