Tastes good but low germination rate

My wife liked the flavor of the corn itself & what DID germinate grew fairly well & didn't have any problem with it. But the germination rate on what we got was approx 2 out of 5. Don't know if that was good or bad round here this year, a lot of w. tn peoples garden did fair at best this year.

Planted side by side with sugar buns seeds bought from bulk at local hardware store. Only to find the local seeds came up faster and higher germination rate than these.
