‘Simpson Elite’ is an open-pollinated looseleaf lettuce prized for its fast growth, crisp texture, and extended harvest season. Crinkled lime-green leaves offer excellent flavor, while strong resistance to bolting can extend production well beyond many traditional looseleaf varieties.

Start ‘Simpson Elite’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ⅛ inch deep and space plants about 1 inch apart. Grow in full sun. This cold-tolerant variety is also well suited to containers.

Ready to harvest in about 46 days, pick tender leaves at the size you prefer and continue harvesting as plants produce fresh growth.

0 of 24 Simpson Elite lettuce seed germinated in two trials. Lettuce seeds, from other companies, started side by side germinated well. In 2019, Simpson Elite lettuce seeds from Seeds'nSuch germinated well.
