Great taste; color survives cooking

I have grown these beans in my Zone 5a garden for several years, and they are on my must-grow list due to great taste. I've only given them 4 stars because production is not as good as some of the other pole beans I grow. However, they keep producing in the fall after many other pole beans have given up.

Grow this bean

Great producer and flavor. If not sure what to grow , start with this bean!

My must grow bean for many years

By far, my favorite green bean. I usually grow about six different varieties, just for some variety and not knowing which will do the best each year. But the rattlesnake bean is always the first and the last to produce, and are always the most productive by a mile. During the summer, we usually have steamed green beans for dinner every night, and the rattlesnake beans have twice the flavor of any of the other beans on the plate, making the others taste very bland. Even when you miss picking some and they get big, the steamed green beans inside are almost like eating edamame. So if I had only one bean to grow, this is the one. Even the name is great... not one of those wimpy French names or beans.
