Growing Best All-Around Collection Sweet Potato Plants

The Best All-Around Collection combines two of our most popular sweet potato varieties—‘Beauregard’ and ‘Georgia Jet’—for a dependable mix of productivity, flavor, and adaptability. This bundle includes 24 bunches total, with 12 bunches of each variety, and offers 25% savings compared with purchasing them separately.

‘Beauregard’ is known for heavy yields, smooth red-orange skin, and moist, sweet orange flesh, while ‘Georgia Jet’ is an early-maturing favorite prized for its deep red skin, bright orange flesh, and reliable performance in shorter growing seasons. Together, they provide a versatile combination suited to a wide range of climates and garden conditions.

Plant sweet potato slips after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has thoroughly warmed. Choose a location in full sun with loose, well-drained soil, and space plants about 12 to 18 inches apart. Set each slip deeply enough to cover the lower stem and roots while keeping the upper leaves above the soil line. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while plants become established.

Both varieties mature in about 90 days. Harvest carefully once the roots have reached a useful size and before cold weather arrives, then cure freshly dug sweet potatoes before eating or storing for the best flavor and keeping quality. Sweet, moist, and versatile, these varieties are excellent for baking, roasting, mashing, casseroles, fries, and everyday cooking.

Shipping Notice: Sweet potato plants ship directly from our supplier on a seasonal schedule. Most orders begin shipping around mid-April, with shipping continuing through June 5th. Because timing can vary, we recommend planning for delivery no earlier than April 15th.

Sweet potato pie O my.

I can’t say anything about the potatoes right now, but all of the slips came up and running everywhere. It looks promising. 👍
