Growing Information
Growing Charger Hybrid Slicing Tomato
‘Charger’ is a hybrid tomato prized for its extra-large fruits and strong disease resistance. Firm, lightly ribbed, deep red tomatoes develop smooth shoulders and excellent flavor, while the plants adapt to a wide range of climates, including cooler regions.
Start ‘Charger’ indoors for transplanting, then move seedlings outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and conditions have warmed. Grow in full sun with consistent moisture and support appropriate to the plant’s growth.
Harvest ‘Charger’ as the fruits reach full size and mature color.
Large, firm, and flavorful, ‘Charger’ is a dependable choice for slicing and fresh eating.
