Growing Information

Growing Shock Wave® Denim Spreading Petunia

‘Shock Wave® Denim’ is a hybrid spreading petunia prized for its early flowering, mounded growth, and excellent recovery after rain. Vigorous plants develop a spreading habit similar to Easy Wave petunias, quickly filling garden and container spaces with abundant color.

Surface sow ‘Shock Wave® Denim’ seeds and space plants 12 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun to partial shade. Germination typically takes 7 to 14 days. This heat-tolerant variety performs especially well during warm summer weather.

Ready to bloom in about 84 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Plants recover quickly from rain and continue producing color throughout the flowering season.

Colorful, vigorous, and resilient, ‘Shock Wave® Denim’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, hanging baskets, and landscape plantings.
