One of our favorite 😍

We have been growing the sunchocla tomato in are graden for 5 or 6 years it's one of are favorite tomatoes. And we share them and everybody we give them to thinks they're fantastic 👏

looks cool, but flavor lacking

'Sunchocola' looks kind of cool but it doesn't have much flavor. I kept checking the whole season to see of the flavor would improve, but it was flat, just not much there. Flavor's not the worst though. I put 'em on salads and they were pretty good with parmesan cheese and a vinaigrette dressing. Last year I grew 4 or 5 plants of 'Sunchocola' and ended up throwing most of their fruit into batches of sauce and other cooked uses. I expected this variety to taste sweeter and have a little more zing. For comparison, I found 'Black Opal' and 'Rosella' to have a more pleasing taste. Leaning toward not growing Sunchocola again.
