Take Off Success

The seeds arrived and I planted indoors. All seeds germinated and are doing fine thus far. I am transferring them to their 3" pots tomorrow. 😊

Sweet, tasty and cold hardy tomato!

We are growing 2 Siletz plants in our northern Minnesota greenhouse. They are really sweet and tasty and the plants stayed under 2' tall. We planted them in pots last fall and got some fruits before Christmas. Then our greenhouse dropped to 42 to 55 degrees at night for 2 months. I put coats over them during the -40 degree spells. Incredibly they survived! Now that it's staying above 60 degrees in the greenhouse they are fruiting like crazy. I have 12 ripe tomatoes today and more ripening. We like the flavor so much I will plant some for the summer garden as well.
