Our largest shell pea features giant, plump, oversized pods, but it won AAS honors for the extra-flavorful, dark green, sweet, succulent peas in each pod that keep their tender sweetness and freshness for extended periods. Robust vines produce pods, frequently two per node, that are easy to find in the foliage and are effortless to harvest and shell. Best when supported. Superb disease resistance.

Love Mr Big

Over the years I've grown many different varieties. Mr. Big is one of the most outstanding of them all. Great production and ease of shelling, sweet taste.

Great choice

I just harvested my peas. They are just as described, giant pods that you cannot miss and full of peas. This is all after a drought in June. One packet made two 12 ft. rows that produced two 4 gallon buckets of pods. I will grow these again.

Survived the heatwave

Last spring was the first time I tried the Mr. Big peas. When we hit 109 degrees in Spokane at the end of June, I thought my peas were done for. But I watered twice a day throughout the heatwave and Mr. Big came through! They continued to produce for many weeks. Great flavor too.
