Growing Just Right Hybrid Turnip
1960 AAS Winner. Holds its fine quality at larger sizes than any other turnip we offer. Most turnips can be sown in either spring or fall but either way the roots should be harvested when relatively small. But ‘Just Right’ should be sown only in the summer or fall and stores so well that its huge size can be enjoyed as late as the following spring! The skin and flesh are pure white with flattened, semi-globe, mild-flavored roots that can be harvested up to 6-in. across without pithiness. Our most cold-tolerant variety allows for delicious winter soups and stews, or you can cook the mild-flavored greens just 28 days after sowing.
