Growing Hot Pak Mix Marigold

‘Hot Pak Mix’ is an open-pollinated French marigold blend prized for its compact growth, double crested blooms, and exceptional summer flowering. Developed to perform through hot, humid weather, this colorful mix produces an abundance of flowers on tidy dwarf plants throughout the season.

Plant ‘Hot Pak Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 8 to 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 4 to 7 days. Plants are especially dependable during hot, humid summer conditions.

Ready to bloom in about 60 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Regular deadheading can help keep plants tidy and encourage continued flowering throughout the summer.

Compact, colorful, and dependable, ‘Hot Pak Mix’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, edging, containers, and mass plantings.

Marigolds seedlings

All but 3 seeds germinated. So far all seedlings are thriving and look good. They still have a month to go before the flower bed

Blooms all summer, but...

MN z5a - Blooms all summer. Disike the foliage/branching, foliage also breaks into pieces easily while lacking sufficient length to the branching so leaves end up tightly clustered around the stem - short branching. Will not be growing again. Will probably just grab a few multi-pak in the spring nursery as opposed to seeding starting.
