Great Giant..

I grew this pepper..Giant Marconi..for the first time..I will ALWAYS grow this pepper form this day forth!! Yuuummy..It was on the plant ..My daughter and I both picked one, green..We had never eaten this variety before so we were eager to try it.Just going to take one bite..the end tip.. THEY NEVER MADE IT TO THE house!! My daughter kept saying..No seeds yet..no seeds yet..with each additional bite..We got all the way to the top before there were seeds and then it was easy to work around the small area..THE FLAVOR is something I couldn’t believe.. I kept taking another bite and just swishing the pepper around on my tongue to try to savor the flavor..I thought.. What does this taste like?..It doesn’t taste anything like any other peppers I have eaten..I love the fact that the skin isn’t tough or a little bitter or anything you notice and want to spit out when eating a raw pepper.. It was a nice, fresh, very unique taste for both of us.
I grew this in the Skagit Valley of the Cascades in Washington state..We are plagued with early and late blight ..We also have had a very unusually HOT year…in the 90’s and even 100’s ..Our temps used to range no higher than 75* for the day and we always, even now..get down in the 50’s over night..(night time, very wonderful, cool air off the mountains that we live so close to)..This pepper had no issues.. GROW THIS PEPPER! I don’t think you will be sorry.. NONE of mine will make it to the red color as I will eat them all FRESH and green.
