An addendum to my review

I stand by my review completely and am ordering more seed. They are so good. The other reviewer is right, though. The picture used to sell Double Yield has no resemblance to what you are going to grow. The description even mentions the black spines and there are white ones in the picture. You are going to grow relatively short and very fat cucumbers with these seeds--they will grow about 6 inches long and get really fat and if not picked will also turn yellow. What is amazing is how the flesh is bright white and was never bitter all summer in full sun with very little water even when the cuke skin had turned yellow. Really excellent.

Very nice, juicy, tasty white flesh, non-bitter. Fat pickling cuke great for fresh eating.

I love these things. They are a fat pickling cucumber but since they are fat they work GREAT for fresh eating as they are not dry at all. I found them to be early and prolific. I always missed them when they were green and I picked them when they were already turning yellow or were very yellow. They have beautiful white crisp flesh no matter how yellow on the outside and I never had one with even a hint of bitterness. I grew them in 7b trellised in crappy soil with full sun and virtually no watering--maybe I watered all of my cucumbers varieties twice all season. I grew several varieties and these were standouts. I confess my seed was for the 2016 season even though this was the 2022 season. They still did great. I'm buying seed today because already 6-year-old seed is pushing it.
