Black Spines and So Tasty

This cucumber makes beautiful pickles with its dark green thin skin and black spines. Parisian also tastes sweet and relatively mild for a pickling cuke.

Excellent all around cucumber

I loved the old fashioned cucumber flavor of these for fresh eating and my husband adored these for pickling. The Parisians produced well into the heat of summer, though they did give up by late July/early August. Grow a couple extra, they weren’t as prolific as they were delicious. I am making these a mainstay after how well they did for us.

We are in central Arkansas. We had a moderately hot and rather wet summer when we grew these. These handled the excessively wet June fabulously, and produced longer than expected. They tolerated our many pests and diseases very well. Yield per plant was decent, not exceptional. Flavor was wonderful.
