Strange Middle Eastern heirloom also called ‘Serpent Cucumber’ or ‘Snake Melon” that looks and tastes like a cucumber but is actually a melon. Crisp, mild, sweet flesh is burpless, bitter-free and makes perfect pickles in addition to being our longest slicer. Especially suited for hot climates, with pale green, ribbed fruits with white flesh. Trellis them for straight fruits; otherwise they twist and turn when grown on the ground.

WE CAN'T WAIT EVERY YEAR

WE CAN'T WAIT EVERY YEAR FOR THESE CUCUMBERS. THEY ARE SO CRISPY AND CRUNCHY. WE LIKE TO JUST SLICE AND DIP, BUT THEY LOOK SO GREAT IN SALADS, TOO. IT SEEMS MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER HAD THESE. WE'VE BEEN PLANTING THESE FOR PROBABLY AT LEAST 15 YEARS. I LIKE TO PLANT THIS ONE AS WELL AS THE ALL LIGHT GREEN VARIETY.
