not so good

Not having much luck with these. 1 in 20 or so will germinate and then stall even with fertilizer. Started indoors and under light after sprouting then moved to three gallon grow bags. For us in North Idaho any onions are difficult. We`ll keep trying but doesn`t look promising at this time.

Ailsa Craig, a Great onion

I have planted Ailsa Craig along with other onion types. I have had the best germination success with Ailsa Craig. In addition, production with Ailsa Craig always exceeds other varieties. I have been planting this variety for at least 10 years. As for storage, I get some sprouting, but from my time of harvest in August, they store until depleted in January. I don't think 4 to 5 months storage is bad.
