Growing Single Old-Fashioned Country Romance Mix Heirloom Hollyhock

‘Single Old-Fashioned Country Romance Mix’ is an heirloom hollyhock blend prized for its tall, stately growth and classic cottage-garden charm. Single blooms appear in a nostalgic mix of rose, white, maroon, yellow, and pink, lining tall stems for the old-fashioned look traditionally seen along fences and farm buildings.

Plant ‘Single Old-Fashioned Country Romance Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 18 to 24 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 10 to 14 days. Give plants plenty of room to develop their tall flower spikes.

Ready to bloom in about 120 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. The tall stems provide beautiful vertical color throughout the garden.

Classic, colorful, and stately, ‘Single Old-Fashioned Country Romance Mix’ is an excellent choice for cottage gardens, fences, back borders, and ornamental plantings.

Have mixed emotions. One of the items I ordered was a package of cherry tomato seeds. There was a single seed in the package. It did not germinate. Also included in the order was a package of poppy seeds. Started them indoors. Not a single seed germinated. The rest of the order seemed ok, but in Michigan I have not yet planted the outdoor items. I was somewhat disappointed.
