Yaqui Hybrid Tomato
Growing Yaqui Hybrid Tomato
‘Yaqui’ is a hybrid tomato prized for its heavy yields and extra-large plum-shaped fruits. Bright red tomatoes contain blocky, meaty flesh and are produced on tidy, compact plants.
Start ‘Yaqui’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 18 to 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Plants are well suited to smaller gardens and are noted for exceptional disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 75 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and mature bright red color.
Dense, meaty, and productive, ‘Yaqui’ is excellent for canning, sauces, and pastes.
