Everleaf Genovese Basil
Growing Everleaf Genovese Basil
‘Everleaf Genovese’ is an open-pollinated basil prized for its classic Genovese flavor, compact growth, and prolonged harvest season. Well-branched plants produce glossy, cupped leaves measuring about 2 to 3 inches long and offer intermediate resistance to Downy Mildew and Fusarium.
Start ‘Everleaf Genovese’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants about 10 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Its tidy habit makes this variety especially well suited to smaller gardens.
Ready to begin harvesting in about 40 days, cut leaves or stems regularly once plants are established to encourage continued production.
Classic, aromatic, and productive, ‘Everleaf Genovese’ is excellent for pesto, sauces, fresh cooking, salads, and drying.
