Growing Information

Growing Lavender Wave® Petunia

‘Lavender Wave®’ is an award-winning hybrid spreading petunia and 2002 All-America Selections Winner prized for its large blooms, vigorous spreading habit, and dependable garden performance. Flowers develop along the entire length of each stem, creating an impressive blanket of lavender color on low-growing, wide-spreading plants.

Start ‘Lavender Wave®’ indoors for transplanting. Surface sow the seeds and space plants 12 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This variety is well suited to containers and is also noted for good disease resistance.

Ready to bloom in about 84 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. The spreading stems become covered with blooms, creating a full, colorful presentation throughout the flowering season.

Colorful, vigorous, and versatile, ‘Lavender Wave®’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, hanging baskets, and landscape plantings.
