It's job is to PRODUCE SQUASH!

I agree the germination rate is a little low. Germination rate 2/5. (Put a few more seeds in the bag, and I am good) HOWEVER, I harvested my first squash at 34 days from planting, and now I am harvesting 1 squash a day from 2 plants. I put my plants in the bottom row of my GardenTower2. They are doing quite well growing out the side of a VERY compact and full patio garden

I have NEVER seen so many female blossoms, with 3 of them blooming before the 1st male blossom bloomed (which didn't seem to bother them at all). I count at least 6 more young female blossoms (not counting the 2 ready to bloom) on ONE plant. Oh, and 1 squash per day is ENOUGH for 2 people. I have 2 more started with 2 leaves.

Slightly firmer than a zucchini, but I actually like that. If you had several plants, I could see harvesting just prior to bloom, stuffing the bloom, and a quick sauté' for an upscale treat. I WISH I HAD MORE SEEDS! (I wish I could upload some pictures!)

Dependable

Started using these seeds around 4 years ago and have never been disappointed. The first year I used them everything the catalog said about them was right.
The longevity is amazing compared to regular zucchini, space is better, tastes great, no complaints here.
I think with some people need to do to improve their germination, like I started doing a few years ago is to start them either inside or in a greenhouse and I've had almost 100% germination since!
