Growing Mortgage Lifter Heirloom Tomato

‘Mortgage Lifter’ is a famous heirloom tomato prized for its large, smooth, rosy-pink fruits and enduring popularity. Globe-shaped tomatoes have meaty flesh and an unusual mild sweetness that has made this variety a garden classic.

Start ‘Mortgage Lifter’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant heirloom thrives through warm summer conditions.

Ready to harvest in about 80 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and mature rosy-pink color.

Mild, sweet, and meaty, ‘Mortgage Lifter’ is excellent for fresh eating and slicing.

Might not pay off your mortgage but will fill the pantry!

We loved these tomatoes, I prefer sauce over raw tomatoes but my husband said they are so flavorful and have just the right amount of oomph that you want in your sandwich or on a plate with salt and pepper. They do have a lot of acid it seems so I add a tbsp or so of baking soda to the sauce while cooking down. I recommend these to everyone who asks about tomatoes.
