Growing Information

Growing Giant Oxheart Heirloom Tomato

‘Giant Oxheart’ is a century-old heirloom tomato prized for its large heart-shaped fruits, extremely thick flesh, and mild old-fashioned flavor. Deep rose-pink tomatoes are firm, meaty, low in seeds, and frequently weigh more than a pound.

Start ‘Giant Oxheart’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Vigorous plants are also well suited to large containers.

Ready to harvest in about 90 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and develop their mature deep rose-pink color.

Mild, meaty, and versatile, ‘Giant Oxheart’ is excellent for slicing, sauces, canning, and fresh eating.

Maybe .y falt

All of the seeds sprouted really great. However I've lost about half of my little plants. I don't know if I overwatered or or what, so I feel a little sad about that. But the seeds did Sprout very well.
