Bulk: California Giants Mix Gerbera Daisy Seeds

I planted 15 cells of seed. Only two came up and haven't grown past the two cotyledons. They were kept on a heat mat, under a dome, and heat lamps. It's my favorite flower, I'm not an amateur at gardening, but this was so disappointing.

My first seeds planted from Seeds N Such were Gerbera Daisy. My wife loves Gerbera and we plant several each spring. Normally get these plants from a nursery but they have become very expensive when you plant as many as we do. We grew about 40 Gerber last year from another seed company. Started my 100 seeds from Seeds N Such on Jan. 31st. First plants appeared on the 4th of Feb. Planted all 100 in a Bookstrap Farmer 72 cell prune tray. The tray was put on a heat mat and dome was placed on top. Heat mat was set to 75 degree under a 4 bulb shop light in a heated garage at 70 degree. Dome and mat removed on Feb. 9 when most seeds had germinated. As of today Feb. 20 I have have 82 Gerbera flowers up and doing well. Some cells have one and several with two plants. I am very pleased with the germination of these seed. My first year buying seed from Seeds N Such thus far I could not be more pleased. We have several vegetable seeds to plant from them this spring and can only hope for this kind of success on them as well.

We puchased the Gerbera seeds, and didn't realize that we never planted the seeds until we received this "write a review" email. Hopefully they will sprout next year.
