Italian Plain Leaf Parsley
Growing Italian Plain Leaf Parsley
‘Italian Plain Leaf’ is a classic flat-leaf parsley prized for its robust flavor, glossy dark green foliage, and versatility in the kitchen. Its clean, slightly sweet flavor is stronger than many curly parsley types, while the flat leaves are easy to chop and handle. Compact, upright plants reach about 12 to 18 inches tall.
Start ‘Italian Plain Leaf’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 6 to 8 inches apart. Grow in full sun to partial sun. This variety is well suited to containers and smaller gardens.
Ready to begin harvesting in about 78 days, cut outer stems as needed once plants are established.
Fresh, robust, and versatile, ‘Italian Plain Leaf’ is excellent for sauces, soups, salads, chimichurri, garnishes, and everyday cooking.
