Dukat Dill
Growing Dukat Dill
‘Dukat’ is an open-pollinated dill prized for its exceptionally sweet fragrance, abundant foliage, and slower tendency to bolt. Plants produce heavier leafy growth than many traditional dill varieties, providing gardeners with an extended harvest of aromatic foliage.
Start ‘Dukat’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 8 to 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun to partial shade. This variety is well suited to containers.
Ready to begin harvesting in about 60 days, cut fresh foliage as needed or allow some stems to develop flower heads and seed.
Sweet, fragrant, and productive, ‘Dukat’ is excellent for pickling, fresh cooking, drying, fish dishes, and herb bouquets.
