Growing Super Nectar Hybrid Honeydew Melon

‘Super Nectar’ is a hybrid honeydew prized for its exceptionally sweet, juicy flesh, rich aroma, and dependable main-season production. Round to oval fruits average about 5 to 6 pounds, with smooth creamy-white rinds surrounding firm, pale green flesh and a refreshing classic honeydew flavor.

Start ‘Super Nectar’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ½ to 1 inch deep and space plants about 6 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Vigorous vines provide good foliage cover for developing fruits, and this variety is also noted for disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 90 days, begin checking fruits once they reach full size and develop their mature color, aroma, and sweetness.

Sweet, juicy, and refreshing, ‘Super Nectar’ is excellent for fresh eating, fruit salads, chilled dishes, and summer desserts.
