Greek Heirloom Oregano
Growing Greek Heirloom Oregano
‘Greek’ is an heirloom oregano prized for its strongly scented foliage and bold, traditional Mediterranean flavor. Thick green leaves deliver the concentrated oregano taste that makes this herb a staple for Italian and Mediterranean-inspired cooking.
Start ‘Greek’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ⅛ inch deep and space plants 8 to 10 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This heat- and drought-tolerant variety is also well suited to containers.
Ready to begin harvesting in about 85 days, cut fresh stems or leaves as needed once plants are established.
Bold, aromatic, and versatile, ‘Greek’ is excellent for tomato sauce, meat, fish, salads, pizza, pasta, and everyday Mediterranean cooking.
