Growing Information
Growing Lemonade Cosmos
‘Lemonade’ is an open-pollinated Cosmos bipinnatus prized for its unusual soft coloring, abundant summer flowering, and graceful garden presence. Primrose-yellow petals surrounding bright white centers create a fresh, luminous look that stands out beautifully in borders and containers.
Plant ‘Lemonade’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 12 to 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 7 to 10 days. This variety is well suited to containers as well as sunny garden plantings.
Ready to bloom in about 70 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Plants continue producing cheerful blooms throughout the summer, providing plenty of flowers for both garden display and cutting.
Soft, cheerful, and floriferous, ‘Lemonade’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, cut flower gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings.
