Growing Information
Growing Giant Cactus-Flowered Mix Zinnia
‘Giant Cactus-Flowered Mix’ is an open-pollinated zinnia blend prized for its enormous shaggy blooms, unusual flower form, and brilliant range of colors. Chrysanthemum-like flowers create a bold, textured display in the garden while producing impressive stems for fresh bouquets and arrangements.
Plant ‘Giant Cactus-Flowered Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 9 to 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 3 to 7 days. This heat- and drought-tolerant variety performs especially well in warm, sunny conditions.
Ready to bloom in about 70 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Regular cutting and deadheading can help encourage continued flowering throughout the season.
Bold, colorful, and dramatic, ‘Giant Cactus-Flowered Mix’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, cut flower gardens, bouquets, and pollinator-friendly plantings.
